While I was in Australia for my best friend’s wedding, we stayed in the beautiful town of Manly. We spent our days chilling at the beach, watching the surfers ride the waves until the sun went down.
I always watched one particular guy, who I called Brad after a character from the TV show Neighbours in the 90s. Brad was older than the young bucks riding the waves, yet still in great shape and able to stay in the water for hours.
How can this help you with your fitness? Well, Brad had found a sport that he loved. He wasn’t slogging it out in the gym or pounding the roads, battling against a dislike for what he was doing.
So, when starting your journey to fitness, be more like Brad and choose an activity that you love—whether it’s walking, running, dancing, boxing, or lifting weights.
If you enjoy what you’re doing, becoming fitter and healthier will be so much easier and more fun!
